For the past two weeks I have been doing a trial of the baby feet foot peel. If you’ve never heard of it before, its a peel that you do in which you put your feet in a solution for about an hour or so and over the couse of two weeks, your feel will peel and reveal your new soft glorious toes after the treatment is over. I’ve heard about it this year and honestly it literally grosses me out but I HAD to try it for myself.
I was in Sephora (although I saw the same product online at amazon for $14) one day and saw it for $20 and I said to myself, why not? I purchased the kit and went home. It sat on my coffee table for nearly a month before I finally decided one day to just do it. I had this huge fear of what my toes would look like and since it was starting to get cold outside (this cold weather btw lasted for two days) I thought it would be the perfect time for me to try it since I’d have to wear socks mostly.
On November 6, I sat down on my couch put the product on my feet and let it get to work. When I opended the package, I was instructed to put my feet in the bags with the solution and keep them on for 90 minutes while staying off of my feet. To help the bag stay closed I taped the bags down, I suggest you do the same. While I waited, I just did some homework and when the 90 minutes were up, I took the bags off of my feet. I didn’t notice a change which was expected because it said that the peeling would begin over the next couple of days…it did not in my case. I went to YouTube to see what other users have done to speed up the process and I saw that one woman soaked her feet for 10 minutes each dya. I tried it the next day and viola! My feet began to peel!
It also freaked me out because I like for my feet to look pretty and they were looking disgusting. Also, peeling the skin off of your is discouraged but honestly I got a slight joy out of peeling them (its weird and gross I know but it was oddly satisfying). Anyway its been about a full two weeks and they are actually soft. I didn’t put lotion on them nor have I went to the salon for a pedi so this has to be the result of the foot peel. Would I do it again? No. I’d rather sit in a salon chair while having a full pedicure with a massage and all. Anyway, if you want to check out the product I had, head to Sephora and check out the Boscia Baby Soft Foot Peel ($20).
