Hey y’all

I don’t know about you, but since this whole quarantine situation of being in stuck in the house for times on end, I’ve developed a terrible shopping habit. I mindlessly add things to my Amazon cart and when I get paid, I buy so much stuff (most lately have been books). Anyway, I was on Instagram, looking at a new product Sarah Ordo was showing her followers and it made me think of the hot/cold facial massager that she used like last year. It became an obsession of mine and I just had to have it. 

So what did I do? I went to the website Vanity Planet to look for it. I tried to use Sarah’s discount code and sadly, it has expired. Not deterred, I simply went to Amazon to see if I can find a cheaper alternative, which to my surprise, I did! I pressed the buy now button and it was at my house two days later (thanks prime). It was about $30, which is great for any babe on a budget. 

How does it work? Well, when you use the hot function, it helps to open your pores. After you wash your face, maybe use your facial cleansing brush to clean your face, apply all of your serums and creams to your face. As stated, when you use the hot function of the wand, your pores will open which helps more of the product get absorbed in your skin instead of just sitting on the surface. If you turn on the sonic or massage function of your wand, that helps to stimulate collagen, which is important for decreasing wrinkles, giving you a more youthful and plump look to your skin. I like to make sure I move my wand in an upward motion so that I’m dragging the skin on my face down. Lauryn Evarts Bosstick from The Skinny Confidential always talks about lymphatic drainage. 

Anyway, after I’m done using the hot function, I turn on the cold setting and let me tell you, this thing changes temperatures so fast! Like its insane. After you’re done making sure all of the products you use on your face are nice and absorbed, that’s when you use the cold function. Again, you have a choice to use the vibrations along with it, I always do. As you may or may not know, cold water or temperature will help to close your pores. This means that the products will stay in your skin and you decrease your chances of getting dirt and oil in your pores (decrease not eliminate. There’s a difference). Y’all, my skin feels so great after using it. I’m not kidding. It’s so soft, my pores are diminished. I just love the results I get from using this wand.

The wand came with a USB charging cable which is quite helpful. It’s not battery operated and its great for traveling as well. Again, you can find this wand on the Vanity Planet website and its like $75 (they do offer payment plans apparently) but I got mine, which is very similar to the vanity planet one here for $35 (again, perfect for a babe on a budget).
