An Anti-Aging Approach I’m Trying (ROC Review)

Hey y’all!

I’m coming at you with another review for you all. I’m not sure why but ever since I was in middle school, I’ve always been obsessed with skincare. I remember the first time I got a set for actual skincare. I was 12 years old and was in this program for young ladies to come up well in society. It was meant to prevent teen pregnancy (ironically a lot of the girls in the program had babies early) and teach us ettiequte and just well rounded ladies. Anyway, ever since then I’ve been intrigued by skincare and wanted to do everything I can to not have wrinkles and clear skin. I actually wrote a blog about skincare for a babe on a budget (you can check it out here). I’ve been using these products for about over a month now and I can tell you that I’m digging it.

I was in Walmart looking for some food for my cat when I decided to look at the skincare isle to see what I’d like to try. I first saw the eye cream. I have dark circles under my eyes (they’re hereditary) so I’m always on the market for something that will diminish them. I saw RoC’s Retinol Correxion Eye Cream and I thought why not? It was affordable and retinol is a pretty strong ingredient. Of course I couldn’t just leave the store with just one item from the brand. I saw the Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Anti-Aging Facial Serum and knew I had to have it. I was on the market for a serum because the one I had before ran out so I bought that too! The final product that I bought was the Daily Resurfacing Facial Disks. If I’m being totally honest, I thought they were peel pads because I ran out of my Bliss Chemical Peel Pads (the Target near my place don’t carry it for some odd reason) and so I needed some type of chemical peel pads for my face. It wasn’t until I got home and read the container that I figured out it was a cleanser. It works great but it wasn’t  a peel pad.

ROC is a French company (I found that out on The Skinny Confidential‘s podcast today) and has been around since the 50’s. It was the first to come up with hypoallergenic formulations. Their retinol is on the gentle side because they combine it with other ingredients, like Vitamin C, so that you can use it everyday. The ROC retinol actually becomes stronger with use (basically, the more you use it, the more effective it will be). You can also say that they made the first sunscreen product as well. Its a pretty awesome company that’s dedicated to putting out quality product. You can find their products in stores like Walmart, Target, CVS, etc. as well as online.

I love this serum. It feels so good on my skin. Its creamy and it doesn’t dry my face out! I really love to use it after I derma-roll my face (like twice a week) but I use this every night. This stuff is awesome.

I love this and will buy more when I get paid. It has dual sides: one smooth, and one exfoliating. I use both sides when I wash my face but I love using the exfoliating side first. It just cleans my face so well and I love seeing the dirt on the pads and not on my skin! I feel so clean afterwards!

As you can see, I’m using the heck out of this product. It says you’ll start seeing results between 8-12 weeks so I’ll just patiently wait and see! I love how its not thick at all but a little goes a long way!

Have you used RoC products before? If you haven’t, you should check it out. Let me know what you think in the comments.

XOXO,
