Tech Fest Fun!

Hey y’all!

Last Friday, Full Sail stopped my our school for a day of tech fun! There were virtual reality simulation, robots, emoji face makers, and even a Super Smash Bros. tournament in which students got a chance to compete for a $10,000 scholarship to Full Sail!

If you’ve never heard of Full Sail University, it is a school for digital art. It offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in entertainment, media, arts, and technology. The school boasts that it provides an immersive, fast-paced, and relevant learning experience that mirrors the demands of the rapidly evolving workforce. The campus offers studios and labs, has over 210 acres and over 60 classrooms. They also offer online programs as well.

One of my students (the one with the fro) competed for a chance to earn a $10,000 scholarship to Full Sail! Unfortunately, he didn’t win but he was in the top 4!! (as seen in the photo)

The little robot thing. I tried it and it was pretty cool. You had to control the robot from the iPad to go around the maze without hitting the wall or corners. It was tricky but fun!

Some were less enthused by it all. One of my students chose to find a spot in the library to read

If you’re interested in a school like this or learning more about the programs that they offer, you should check them out. The main campus is located in Winter Park (basically Orlando).
